Principal

Paxon Peek of the Week

Dear Students, Staff, and Parents:

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! Our commitment at Paxon Hollow Middle School is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers and inspired learners prepared to thrive in the twenty-first century.

High standards and expectations for each student in regard to academic performance, co-curricular participation, and responsible citizenship are the foundation of our school. We take great pride in holding high expectations and ask each of our students to commit to maintaining the extraordinary record of achievement that has become the legacy of Paxon Hollow Middle School.  In my opinion, the contribution of our students to our school community is what makes Paxon Hollow an exceptional place to learn.  We have various clubs and activities for students to get involved with so that they can find their niche before being promoted to Marple Newtown High School.  On the first day of school we share with students that in order to be a successful student you must follow these three rules:  1) Always do your best.  2) Be nice.  3) Get involved.  Full participation in academic and co-curricular programs and a willingness to act responsibly as an individual within our educational environment are the factors that enable all to have a successful and enjoyable year!

I have spent most of my career working in different roles at Paxon Hollow Middle School.  One of the most motivating lessons I’ve learned during my tenure as Principal at Paxon Hollow is how committed our faculty and staff are in creating meaningful learning experiences for our students. The faculty here at Paxon Hollow is composed of some of the most caring, thoughtful, and dedicated professionals you will ever meet.  As a school faculty, we are committed to ensuring that all students experience a tremendous amount of academic, social, and emotional growth during their time at Paxon Hollow.  Further, we work to grow together in order to meet the diverse needs of our students and to be motivational role models on a daily basis.

I wish everyone a wonderful school year and hope that you, too, will come and learn alongside us.  If I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me and know that my door is always open. I can be reached at tgretchen@mnsd.org.   I am honored to serve as your principal.

Sincerely,

Dr. TJ Gretchen
